If you’re staying at our villa in Vinišće, Rogoznica is just a short drive away—and it’s absolutely worth a visit. Less touristy than some neighboring spots, this coastal town has a relaxed vibe, natural beauty, and just the right amount of things to see and do for a laid-back afternoon or full day of exploring.
1. Visit Dragon’s Eye Lake (Zmajevo oko)
One of Rogoznica’s most unique natural sights, this saltwater lake is surrounded by legend. Locals will tell you it’s bottomless (spoiler: it’s not), but the emerald waters and steep cliffs make it a cool stop for a swim or photo.
2. Swim in Hidden Coves
The coastline around Rogoznica is dotted with quiet coves and small beaches. Bring your towel and snorkel—some of the best spots are just a short walk from the main promenade and are rarely crowded, even in summer.
3. Walk the Seafront Promenade
Take a leisurely walk along the harbor, where fishing boats bob in the water and waterfront cafés invite you to slow down. It’s especially beautiful in the evening as the sun sets behind the marina.
4. Enjoy Fresh Seafood by the Water
Rogoznica is a great place for a relaxed seafood lunch or dinner. Try local grilled fish or black risotto (made with cuttlefish ink) at one of the restaurants overlooking the bay. Our favorite? Antonijo — a charming spot with a sea-front view and delicious fresh dishes. It’s a must try !
5. Visit Marina Frapa
Even if you’re not a sailor, the upscale Marina Frapa is worth a look. It’s one of the most modern marinas in the Adriatic and a fun place to grab a coffee, watch the yachts, or people-watch.
6. Explore the Old Town
Wander the narrow streets of the old town peninsula, where traditional stone houses and quiet corners make for a lovely, authentic experience. It’s compact but full of charm.
